The world lost some fantastic musicians and Roy Orbison lost some dear friends.
In particular, Buddy Holly’s death left Roy shaken and unresolved. Buddy was like a little brother to Roy, having grown up in the same part of Texas. The two even did some of their early recordings at the same studio- Norman Petty Studios, in Clovis, New Mexico.
