Legendary musician Bobby Emmons passed away last week.
Emmons’ songwriting credits include cuts by artists like George Strait, Waylon Jennings, and Johnny Cash, not to mention a mile-long list of records on which Emmons played keyboards. Emmons can be heard on the album Class of 55- the supergroup formed by Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis- as well as Roy Orbison’s albums King of Hearts and Regeneration.
