Rick Rubin included it on a soundtrack he produced for the movie “Less Than Zero” (based on the Brett Easton Ellis novel). Also on the soundtrack was Slayer with whom Rubin had just produced the 1986 masterpiece “Reign In Blood”. Funny to think that was only the year before “LIFE FADES AWAY”.
Glenn Danzig, lead singer and songwriter for the band Danzig, recorded his biggest hit “MOTHER” in 1987 right around the time of “LIFE FADES AWAY.”
“LIFE FADES AWAY” is also included in Roy Orbison’s “THE SOUL OF ROCK AND ROLL” box set.
