“You’ve Got Love” by Buddy Holly

Roy Orbison was one of Buddy Holly‘s big influences. He went to see many Roy Orbison concerts and even tried to get on Sun Records like Roy. Roy suggested Norman Petty’s studio to Buddy where he recorded “Peggy Sue” and most of his big hits.

Orbison and Holly did shows together. One of the more famous times was a show with The Everly Brothers. Buddy did several Roy songs. Two of them: “An Empty Cup” & “You’ve Got Love” are on his debut album, “The Chirping Crickets”.

He also did Orbison’s song “A True Love Goodbye” and others. Check them out to hear some great cover versions of Roy Orbison songs.
