Yesterday was the 4th anniversary of the death of Fred Foster.

Fred started Monument Records with his life savings in 1958 and soon signed Roy Orbison to his little independent label. He produced all of Roy’s monster hits with Monument, from “Only the Lonely” to “Oh, Pretty Woman.”
