This song can be equally claimed by Roy Orbison and The Everly Brothers. It was
written by Boudleaux and Felice Bryant for Roy Orbison. Roy Orbison had the
first hit with LOVE HURTS (it was also the B-Side of #1 hit RUNNING SCARED in
America). Both Orbison and The Everly Brothers were signed to the same
publishing company and friends of the Bryants. Technically the Everlys recorded
it shortly before Roy.
