“IT AIN’T NO BIG THING” By Roy Orbison
The second track from the first side of the second album (THE ORBISON WAY) from Roy Orbison’s #MGMYears was recorded this month in 1965! Not to be confused with “IT AIN’T NO BIG THING (BUT IT’S GROWING)” which appears on the later MGM album, MEMPHIS, and was also recorded by Elvis Presley.

Happy Birthday, James Burton!
“While I was in the studio recording Roy Orbison’s IN DREAMS: GREATEST HITS album, I was asked to perform with the TCB Band on the BLACK AND WHITE NIGHT. In my opinion this was one of the greatest moments in music history. Every time I watch the video from that night, I see something new and different. It takes me right back to that time. I knew after the show that night that music magic had been created. It was one of the highlights of my career.”

“Elvis Presley was bigger than life. His success was documented and laid out for him. He came to the first show I had in Memphis, and it was very nice. He sort of treated me like an equal, because we were both fresh in the business. We got to be great friends and kindred souls.” -Roy Orbison
