A song written by the great songwriting duo who brought you “Oh, Pretty Woman” and countless other songs- Roy Orbison & Bill Dees. We are lucky enough to have uncovered this stunningly beautiful song that was so deeply personal that this home-recorded song has never been heard by the public before.
On December 6th, 1988 the legendary Roy Orbison passed away suddenly from a heart attack.
Though Orbison’s career spanned decades, it is possible that his star was burning brightest just as he was taken from this world.
Today, like everyday, we remember The Big O!
Let us also remember Roy’s Mystery Girl, Barbara Orbison, who passed away on this date just two years ago.

Barbara Orbison tribute video set to Roy Orbison’s song “PRECIOUS”.
Roy and Barbara would have been married 44 years this March.
An unreleased song that was included in 2008 on “THE SOUL OF ROCK AND ROLL” boxset, “PRECIOUS” was the sort of tender song Barbara inspired in Roy shortly after they met. This one is a rarity he played in his home studio alone on an acoustic guitar. Never intended for release, it is a beautiful lullaby type song.
