Born on January 8, 1913. (1913-1984) Orbie Lee Orbison was the father of Roy Orbison. An oil well driller and car & airplane mechanic in Texas. Orbie Lee and his wife, Nadine moved to Fort Worth during Roy’s childhood. Later, the family moved to Wink, Texas.Orbie Lee gave Roy his first guitar, on Roy’s 6th birthday.
