Buddy Buie, who was associated with Roy Orbison, The Atlanta Rhythm Section, and The Classics, passed away on Saturday, July 18. Buie was also a songwriter, producer, promoter, and publisher whose career spanned more than half a century. Buie and Orbison co-wrote “AFRAID TO SLEEP” on the MGM album THERE IS ONLY ONE ROY ORBISON.
