On Tuesday, April 23rd at 11:30 AM Christ the King Hospital in Vernon, Texas will be hosting a celebration in honor of Roy Orbison’s birthday at the site of his birth!

“Everyone is invited to join us for lunch on Tuesday, April 23rd at 11:30 AM for a celebration of Roy Orbison’s birthday. We will meet at the site of the old Christ the King hospital where Roy was born – at the corner of Pease & Deaf Smith Streets in downtown Vernon. We’ll have a grill going and we’ll offer free hotdogs & cold sodas, we’ll also have some Roy Orbison tunes playing, and at around 12:30 Vernon Mayor Jeff Bearden will unveil a new sign to mark the birthplace of one of Americas greatest-ever singer-songwriters. For your comfort you might want to bring along a folding chair.”
