On 3 June, Nelson, Otis, Charlie T (Jr), Lefty and Lucky Wilbury will find themselves in unchartered waters when Traveling Wilburys’ music appears on streaming services for the first time ever. As well as making Traveling Wilburys Vol 1 and 3 available as high-resolution downloads, the critically acclaimed Traveling Wilburys Collection (originally released in 2007) will be re-launched as both a deluxe 180g vinyl box set and numbered 2CD+DVD edition.
In June of 1969 Roy Orbison and his band The Art Movement set up shop in West Yorkshire, England and turned the Batley Variety Club into a studio. The result is Roy’s BIG O album that includes the fan favorite “PENNY ARCADE.” Originally released only outside the United States, it is now available as part of the MGM Years box set and individually on CD!
The soundtrack for Roy Orbison’s debut feature film, The Fastest Guitar Alive, was released in June 1967!
